So much going on right now

Alexander Finbow - Thursday, November 10, 2011

Thursday evening and it's approaching 10pm here are the Mountain Lair. Lovern Kindzierski, working away deep in the bowels of the earth beneath me, has just sent up the colour proof for page 36 of The Loxleys and the War of 1812, and a beautifully coloured page it is too.

This was preceded by pencils for page 92, hewn from the boulders of Claude St Aubin, depicting the burning of the White House in a well thought out and convincingly executed layout.  This day started with a raven dropping inked Dept of Monsterology issue 1 pages down our well (doubles as a hot tub in the winter too) curtesy of PJ Holden. If he can continue creating art at this quality level then Monsterology is going to be one hell of a ride of a comic strip.

I know somewhere deeper in the mountains John Haward is putting the finishing touches to Alan Grant's Tales of The Buddha (Before he became Enlightened) ahead of our digital and print release next year. In a high tower near the Northern Wall, William Simpson has let it be known that he is only a handful of days from completing storyboards for season 2 of HBO's Game of Thrones and will be returning to his dark, damp cave to continue work on VMT and Shades of Grey.

It truly has been a wondrous and fulfilling day for me so far. And there are more stories bubbling away quietly, yet to be announced. Stick around, I promise you, the next few years are going to be pretty exciting at Renegade.
