Lair raided! Latest update from the Renegade Tunnels
As you may have heard last week, River Trolls attacked our secret Mountain Lair, hell bent on taking over Renegade and forcing us to start producing reality TV shows, publishing gossip magazines, and recording romance audio books.
Whilst there is nothing wrong with these creations per sae, we are too loved up with our current titles to consider ditching them at the whim of a menacing herd of violent 8 foot tall mythical creatures.
We had no choice but to grab our pens and brushes and dig deeper into the mountain, creating a new system of tunnels from where we can continue to produce the fine creator owned titles without River Troll interference. This has meant that communication with the outside world has been effected at times, and some messages may have been lost when an angry and inebriated Troll bit clean through our cables. Thankfully, with the aid of the mountain critters, we've been able to keep supplying customer orders at all times.
In that time Ben Clark has been writing and drawing under a large Redwood root system close to the oblivious Trolls. The fruit of his labours are more adventures for our hapless heroes in The Spine Chillers web comic, click the image below to read the latest installment as Hemingway makes it his business to hunt down the terror of the Werebadger.

Work continues on the epic comic book 'The Loxley's and the War of 1812' down a dimly lit corridor, where Claude St Aubin has finished pencil art on the first 50 pages, and Lovern Kindzierski is knee deep in digital paint as he colours Claude's work.

Deeper down in the tunnels, Richmond Clements chisels away at the script for the second Turning Tiger book, back to back with Gordon Rennie who is busy penning Monsterology. May their chisels stay sharp as both series hold great potential.
John Bolton has found some smooth granite to use as a canvas for book 2 of the Shame trilogy, Pursuit. Several River Trolls discovered his hideout but sit now, close to starvation, transfixed by his deft brushstrokes and mastery of image.
This is a sneak peak at a panel from book 2. John's work continues to captivate and capture Lovern's fantastical story. More from the book soon. As for Shame: Conception, it spent a second week as the number 3 bestseller on McNally Robinson's Paperback Fiction bestseller charts. And is now available digitally exclusively through the graphic.ly app.
As well as every beautifully painted page, the digital version includes a commentary track featuring John and Lovern, that you can listen to whilst reading the book. As well as the theme music composed specifically for the story, and the cinematic trailer. You can also comment within the book and leave messages for the creators. Well worth a look, and at only $3.99 really good value.

August 23rd is the date we will dig ourselves out of the Mountain Lair and make a break for the east as we take part in this years Toronto Fan Expo. Lovern and Alexander with be on hand to sign and talk to fans, and we'll have some exclusives from Shame, VMT, The War of 1812 and more with us. Doug Bradley will also be dug out of his cave of reflection to represent all things Spinechillers, as will his fellow Spinechillers alumni Robert Englund.

October sees us head further east for the New York Comic Convention where we look forward to meeting more of our American fans, and we'll be bringing with us a raft of further exclusives as well as previews for VMT, Monsterology, 1812 and more. We hope to see you at one of the shows.
And now I must go, a Troll is dragging Lindsay Thomas away form her latest blog, whilst threatening to eat William Simpson if he doesn't finish the last pages of 24 Days in Rio sharpish.
