New Renegade print cards launched
October 16th, 2009And it’s horror first.
Celebrating the talented artists that come our way is our print card series featuring original artwork from comic artists, illustrators and cover artists.
The first print card series will feature work inspired by the horror genre, particularly the work of the authors in the ‘Doug Bradley’s Spine Chillers’ series like HP Lovecraft and Edgar Allan Poe. It will also include Spine Chiller artwork by Dan Woods and Renegade covers from our horror comics.
We also plan to release the images as a set of high quality prints, and to include one or two with the collectors edition Tell Tale Heart DVD.
Artists to be featured in the initial run include: Shane Oakley, Dan Woods, Frank Quitely, Mark Buckingham, Leigh Gallagher, James R Powell, Al Davison, Wayne Nichols, and Jon Hicklenton.

Every few weeks we’ll focus on the work of one artist showing his print card in glorious large-o-vision with a biography and links to their blogs or web sites.
And first up in the spotlight is Channel Evil artist Shane Oakley who has created a fitting image in his trade mark glorious style to launch the series with:

Shane is most famous for his work on Albion for Wildstorm (written by Leah Moore and John Reppion) as well as working on Mr X for Vortex comics, Zombie Tales and Cthulhu Tales for Boom! Studios, and our very own Channel Evil series written by Alan Grant of course.
